Mohito (sp?)

Now I know you all are curious as to what movies I've recently seen. I take no pleasure in disappointing, so here you go:
Last Saturday I saw Brokeback Mountain. Everyone who saw it loved it, praised it. Seemed like it was almost a liberal thing to do. Go see Bbk Mtn and gush. It's a tired ol', sappy love story. I don't know, probably would still recommend it if only for the only reason it made a ripple. There are just some plain ridiculous scenes. Last Friday I saw Looking For Comedy In The Muslim World. I didn't even know the movie existed before about 7 that night. Dinner at the Fremont Trat, Quick Wheels after a glassa wine back up the Hill. I speed walked as fast as the Dvil him(her)self down Olive9thPine7th, CanadianClarks & SmokingCigarette, to the nine:fifty. I knew there was a person named "Albert Brooks", but nothing beyond that. This one is special... to the right viewer, of course. The driest comedy I've ever expirienced. Imagine Curb Your Enthusiasm crossed with India, but-drier. Learn about the underground comics in Pakistan!
A week before Mr. Brooks, I had the pleasure of seeing Woody Allen's new one, Match Point. After seeing MtchPt, I wanted another dose of WA and got it in from The SPLibrary in the form of Sweet & Lowdown starring Sean Penn & *sigh* Hattie.
Plus I watched 2 kiddie klassics, one a remake, the other original. The Wizard of Oz & Charlie & The Chocolate Factory. The Lollypop Guild is as funny as it ever was; The good witch is not pretty; The Wicked Witch of the West tossing fireballs at The Gang no longer scares me; I still don't know why the snow wakes them up in the poppies. I liked Johnny Depps flavor of WillyWonka; But how the hell did Charlie weasel outta getting tested like the other 4 kids? They tested him in the original... come on, I know you know he'll pass the test. You know that I know. & I know that you know that I know he'll pass the test, but go through the motions if you have to. WillyWonka, I challenge you to make it a fair playing field!
I still haven't seen The Passion of the Christ. A while ago I coulda seen a pirated copy, missed opportunity... guess I'll never find out who this Jesus character is.
