1999: I don't remember well, was here in Seattle, actually quite alone... oh, I remember something, Tony Wilmer, my 60yr/old friend for 6months, and we Drank beers together on the 2nd floor roof porch of the rooming house I was living in.
1993: My first birthday after our family began it's deconstruction. Every possible holiday gave my mother great happiness. Much of this period of life is a foggy blur, but my sisters and mom came together without complication, for that I am very thankful and, in hindsight, feel fortunate for my birthday on a friday was treated as a special event.
1982: I knew there was one during my young young years, all I remember is making a big deal out of it being Friday the 13th, laughing in the face of conventional superstition. This laid the foundation for me to laugh in the face of many other things.
1976: Hell, this was the day I emerged, 11:57pm, as close to midnight on fri the 13th that someone can be born without a c-section. shortly thereafter I nearly died by the whip of pneumonia and complications from undiagnoses asthma. I'm here and lucky for it. So I smoke to tempt fate.
